James Rodriguez Shruds Off Ronaldo Comments and Real Madrid Return Talk

James Rodriguez believes too much has been made of comments from Cristiano Ronaldo suggesting that he is missed at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese forward recently claimed that the reigning La Liga champions have paid the price for parting with senior stars such as James, Morata and Pepe.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have endured a tough start to their 2017/18 campaign, with a period if transition having not gone as smooth as hoped.

“They were going through a tough moment and you say things that you shouldn’t sometimes,” the Colombia international told Caracol.

“I believe Real Madrid have very good players to have a really good campaign. They are a massive team, they have a team with the power to change everything.I left lot of really good teammates and friends in Madrid and I always watch them when I can. I keep in touch with Ramos, Benzema and Marcelo.”
